The Royal Hotel, Bideford

The Royal Hotel in Bideford; a stylish Regency hotel dating back to the 17th century, it is perfectly located just over the river from the town centre. The restaurant offers fine dining, and a pleasant lounge. All bedrooms include en suite bathroom facilities, TV and courtesy tray.

The hotel also has a lift.

Monday

We depart the local area early this morning and begin our journey to North Devon. Suitable comfort stops will be made en route as we travel to the welcoming Royal Hotel in Bideford.

Tuesday

Enjoy a leisurely morning in the historic port town of Bideford. Stroll along the riverside quay, browse the independent shops or relax in one of the welcoming cafés. This afternoon, we visit the beautiful RHS Garden Rosemoor, one of the South West's finest gardens. Discover a stunning collection of themed gardens, colourful borders, tranquil woodland walks and seasonal displays, with plenty of time to explore at your own pace.

Wednesday

Today we visit the historic market town of Barnstaple, the oldest borough in England. Enjoy free time to explore its traditional Pannier Market, browse the independent shops, or relax in one of the many cafés. Take a stroll along the River Taw and soak up the town's rich history and welcoming atmosphere.

Thursday

Today's scenic excursion takes us to the twin villages of Lynmouth and Lynton. Enjoy free time to explore the picturesque harbour at Lynmouth or discover the charming shops and spectacular coastal views in Lynton. On our return journey, we call at Quince Honey Farm, where you'll enjoy a delicious cream tea.

Friday

After breakfast we head for home calling for coffee and lunch en route. We aim to arrive early evening.
