YOUR HOTEL

The Rutland Hotel, Douglas

Located on the Queens Promenade in Douglas, the three star Rutland Hotel has 64 bedrooms all of which are equipped with en-suite bathroom. Offering a full range of modern facilities and accessories, guests enjoy complimentary WIFI and the Queens Carvery Restaurant offers both a buffet breakfast and, in the evening, a hearty Manx roast with separate resident’s bar and entertainment. He lift serves all floors although there are some steps in the corridors. (Please note there are nine steps to the front of the hotel with no separate ramp access available). The hotel is located close to the quiet Queens Parade of Douglas, a pleasant walk to the many local bars, restaurants and retail area.

Friday

An early departure sees us travel to Heysham for our early afternoon ferry crossing to Douglas, the capital of the Isle of Man. Sit back and enjoy the scenic sea journey before arriving on the island and continuing to our hotel.

Saturday

Enjoy a guided tour of the north of the Isle of Man, discovering its beautiful scenery, charming villages and fascinating landmarks. Sit back and take in the island's coastal views and hidden gems as your guide shares the history and stories of this unique destination.

Sunday

Enjoy a nostalgic journey aboard the Isle of Man Steam Railway, travelling one way through the island's beautiful countryside. We continue to the picturesque coastal village of Port Erin, with time to explore and enjoy the stunning sea views.

Monday

Experience two of the Isle of Man's most iconic rail journeys. We travel aboard the scenic Manx Electric Railway to Laxey, where we visit the famous Laxey Wheel, before continuing our journey on the Snaefell Mountain Railway to the summit of the island's highest peak. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views across the island and surrounding seas before returning to Douglas.

Tuesday

After an early breakfast, we bid farewell to our hosts and make our way to the ferry terminal for our return crossing. Once back on the mainland, we continue our journey to Lincolnshire, with suitable stops made en route to break the journey.
