The Haddon Hall Hotel is situated in an enviable position on a broad tree lined avenue close to the seafront and town centre. A personal welcome awaits in a relaxed atmosphere with efficient service. Haddon Halls reputation for excellent food has been well known over the years with the head chef producing traditional English cuisine with modern variations for over twenty years. The en-suite accommodation includes colour television and tea & coffee making facilities.
There is a lift to all floors.
Day 1- Saturday
Our professional door to door service will ensure that you have a comfortable journey to meet the main coach, departing Boston mid-morning we begin our journey to the south coast. Arriving at The Haddon Hall hotel mid-afternoon, with time to settle in before your evening meal.
Day 2 - Sunday
Enjoy a day at leisure exploring the stunning Victorian seaside town of Eastbourne, the long sweeping promenade is flanked by the beach to one side and the stunning Carpet Gardens to the other.
Day 3 - Monday
Our excursion today takes us to the well-known coastal city of Brighton, with many attractions such as the Lanes, the pier, Volks Railway and the Royal Pavilion, Brighton is a great city to visit any time of the year. We have a guided tour planned at The Royal Pavillion, explore the Chinese-inspired pleasure palace of the extravagant King George IV. Join one of the expert guides for a fascinating look at this incredible building.
Day 4 - Tuesday
Today we visit Hever Castle and Gardens, where romantic charm meets beautifully preserved history. Wander through lavishly furnished rooms and admire one of the finest collections of Tudor portraits. As the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, the castle is steeped in captivating tales of royalty and intrigue. The surrounding gardens, spanning 125 acres, are a masterpiece of horticultural design, featuring elegant Italianate terraces, fragrant rose gardens and a tranquil lake-perfect for a leisurely stroll. We then travel to Royal Tunbridge Wells, known nationally for its history, architecture, and cultural ambience. It offers locals and tourists alike a charming blend of historic and modern amenities, with parks and historic sites.
Day 5 - Wednesday
This morning we travel to Sheffield Park Station to step back in time aboard the Bluebell Railway, for our return journey on one of the UK's best-preserved heritage lines. This scenic steam railway winds through the picturesque Sussex countryside, running between East Grinstead and Sheffield Park, offering a nostalgic journey into yesteryear. This afternoon we head to the historic market town of Lewes, with medieval streets, independent shops and attractions like Lewes Castle and Priory.
Day 6 - Thursday
A coach tour through the countryside of a defining moment in England's History - the Battle of Hastings, visiting Battle and Hastings. Battle is dominated by the gatehouse of Battle Abbey, built by William the Conqueror and reputedly where Old King Harold fell. Also visiting Hastings, this cosmopolitan town is home to the largest beach launched fishing fleet in Europe, the remains of the first castle in England to be built by William the Conqueror, a preserved Old Town and a strong local arts community.
Day 7 - Friday
The penultimate day of your holiday, at leisure to continue to adventure, or to sit back on the south coast to sit back and watch the world go by.
Day 8 - Saturday
After breakfast we depart the hotel and begin our journey back to Lincolnshire, we will make appropriate comfort stops en route. Your taxis will be awaiting your return to complete the final part of your journey.
