Monday

We start the day with a morning departure, greeted by your door-to-door taxi service you meet the coach and then depart from Boston. We begin our journey south and stop in the medieval market town of St Ives, the perfect lunch stop situated on the River Ouse, with its historic stone bridge and unusual chapel. Departing early afternoon, we continue our journey to Essex arriving at Five Lakes at 3pm with time to check in, settle into your rooms and explore the facilities before your evening meal.

Tuesday

Today you have a half day excursion to one of Essex's oldest recorded towns, Maldon. Maldon has a fascinating, diverse history and a vibrant community feel to it. It has an architecturally interesting high street filled with independent shops and from there you can follow the hill down towards the waterfront. We return to Five Lakes resort this afternoon in time for some afternoon activities!

Wednesday

Day at Leisure - Enjoy all the facilities this splendid resort has to offer. You will be spoiled for choice, as the list is endless. Indulge yourself in a visit to the Spa, offering a range of treatments, plus an Indoor Pool, Sauna and Steam Room. Join in a huge variety and range of daily activities to suit all tastes.

Thursday

This morning we head for a half day excursion to Colchester, with its unique heritage and history. Browse through the quiet streets lined with specialist shops and restaurants. For the culture seekers, there are the award-winning museums. Enjoy shopping around all the high street shops with friends or family enjoying what Colchester has to offer.

Friday

Departing the hotel after breakfast we begin our journey back to Lincolnshire, making a lunch stop at the stunning Bury St Edmunds, offering visitors award-winning restaurants, fantastic shopping, annual festivals, and stunning parks. Admire the magnificent St Edmundsbury Cathedral, discover the legend of St Edmund, and stand among the ruins of the 11th Century Abbey of St Edmund, once one of the most important monasteries in medieval Europe, set in the stunning Abbey Gardens. With the beautiful medieval wool towns on its doorstep, Bury St Edmunds is truly 'a jewel in the crown of Suffolk'. Depart Bury St Edmunds mid-afternoon to complete the final part of your journey back to Lincolnshire to meet your taxis for your door-to-door service.
