Durrant House Hotel, Bideford

Set Situated on the outskirts of the historical old port of Bideford, atop the hill with views over the Torridge estuary and beyond to the sandy beaches of Instow. This hotel is perfectly located to explore the beautiful, rugged coastline, sandy beaches and rolling countryside of North Devon. As expected from a quality hotel in Devon, the hotel provides a full range of facilities and activities. Enjoy the outdoor pool, heated throughout July to September. The hotel also boasts a Health & Beauty Spa. All rooms have en-suite, tea & coffee making facilities, clock radio, hairdryer, TV, iron & ironing board.

The hotel has a lift; some ground floor rooms are accessible by 5 steps.

Monday

We depart Boston early morning; your taxi driver will greet you at the front door and take you to meet the coach. As embark on our journey south to Devon your driver will ensure that suitable comfort breaks are taken en route.

Tuesday

We take a tranquil 90-minute horse drawn barge cruise on the Tiverton canal today. Take in the scenic route as we learn about the river's wildlife, the beautiful barge and horses that operate it, a beautiful way to spend the day. Free time will also be provided in the ancient town of Tiverton prior to our cruise.

Wednesday

After a leisurely breakfast we will make our way to the seaside town of Bude. The relaxed atmosphere, golden sands, spectacular views and magnificent coastlines are just a few reasons why people visit this town year after year. We will then make our way back to Bideford where you will have free time to explore this town.

Thursday

Today we head to Exmoor National Park including Lynmouth, Lynton and Ilfracombe. A scenic drive takes us to the quaint and charming town of Lynton. Here you can explore the narrow streets and sights or take a ride on the cliff railway down to Lynmouth the choice is yours. These two towns are based in the heart of Exmoor National Park and are mainly popular due to the outstanding scenery they offer. We will then make our way to the vibrant coastal town Ilfracombe. Free time will be provided to explore the Olde World charm this town has to offer. Take a visit to the fascinating harbour, explore the wealth and culture, take a scenic boat ride, or maybe just have a spot of lunch and watch the world go by.

Friday

Our final breakfast at the Durrant House Hotel before we begin our return journey back in Lincolnshire. Making suitable stops along the route, we aim to arrive back in Boston to your awaiting taxis at 5pm.
