Greeted by your door-to-door taxi service who will take you to meet the main coach and your tour driver. We depart Boston mid-morning and travel to Wales, making appropriate comfort stops en route. We aim to arrive mid-afternoon, with time to check into our hotel and begin exploring the local area should you wish.
Tuesday
Drive through Snowdonia's spectacular mountains to the Royal town of Caernarfon, on the shores of the Menai Strait, where HM The King was invested as Prince of Wales back in 1969. We then head over the Menai Straits and on to the Isle of Anglesey, where we have a little time in picturesque Beaumaris. The castle is an unfinished masterpiece, built in 1295. This afternoon we board the all-weather cruiser to Puffin Island - home to many species of birds and wildlife. The 1½ hour cruise, with live commentary, takes you right round the island with regular sightings of puffins, grey seals, and dolphins.
Wednesday
To the town of Porthmadog and included entrance to Portmeirion, the unique Italian style village, Portmeirion has served as the location for numerous films and television shows, most famously as "The Village" in the 1960s television show The Prisoner.
