The Crown Hotel, Weymouth

The charm and character of the Crown Hotel lies in the warm and friendly atmosphere which always prevails. The management & staff take a special interest in making sure your stay is a total success. The hotel is located in an extremely favourable position at the top of Weymouth’s town centre, next to the Town Bridge overlooking the historic fishing harbour, and just a few minutes’ walk from the picturesque Brewer’s Quay. Weymouth’s beautiful sandy beach is less than 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel. All 85 bedrooms are fully en-suite, tastefully decorated and include TV & tea & coffee making facilities. Hotel facilities include a first floor residents lounge, The Vaults Bar and Restaurant and a residents bar where there is nightly entertainment during the season. A lift serves all floors.

Monday

We depart the local area and begin our journey to Weymouth, making a coffee stop en route. Continuing our journey, we visit Bicester Avenue Garden Centre, where there will be time to enjoy lunch and browse before completing our journey to the coast.

Tuesday

Today we enjoy a scenic journey on the Swanage Railway, travelling through the beautiful Dorset countryside and taking in the stunning views along the route. We visit the charming village of Corfe Castle, with its fascinating history and dramatic castle ruins, where you will have time to explore at your leisure.

Wednesday

We travel through the unique village of Poundbury, a modern development known for its attractive architecture and charming streets. Continuing to Dorchester, the historic county town of Dorset, where you can explore the market, browse the shops and soak up the local atmosphere. Later, we visit the bustling market town of Bridport, famous for its independent shops, markets and traditional character.

Thursday

Enjoy a day on the beautiful Dorset coast at Lulworth Cove. Explore and admire the spectacular coastal scenery.

Friday

After breakfast we head for home calling for coffee and lunch en route. We aim to arrive late afternoon to meet your awaiting taxis.
