YOUR ITINERARY

Monday |After our morning departure we head north and enjoy a lunch stop in the market town of Harrogate. Then moving on to our hotel, arriving with time to settle in before our evening meal.

Tuesday | Today we visit the city of Durham where you will find yourself among some of the world’s finest architecture. This is a truly beautiful city, where the famous Castle and Cathedral, together designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, dominate the skyline.

Wednesday | The Beamish Open Air Museum. A living, working museum, set in 350 acres of beautiful Durham Countryside. Costumed folk bring to life the 1820s Pockerley Old Hall and Landscape, 1900s Town, 1900s Pit Village, 1940s Farm, 1950s Town and 1950s Spain’s Field Farm. An opportunity to discover fascinating stories of everyday life in the North East through time. 

Thursday | Follow in the footsteps of the powerful Prince Bishops of Durham at The Auckland Project, a unique collection of heritage attractions, galleries and gardens.         

Friday | Sadly, after a hearty final breakfast we must begin our journey home. We visit the town of Thirsk en route, with time to explore the stunning market town and visit The World of James Herriot. We return to Boston late afternoon where your taxi’s will be waiting for you to complete your return journey.
