YOUR ITINERARY
Monday |With a mid morning departure we begin our journey to The Celtic Royal Hotel. Your driver will ensure that appropriate stops are made en route.
Tuesday | Nestled in the foothills of Snowdonia in North Wales, Bodnant Garden National Trust is a garden for all seasons. Located on a Conwy Valley hillside the 80 acre garden descends dramatically from neat lawns and grand, flower-filled terraces, through informal shrub borders, meadows and woods, to a valley of water gardens and giant trees. In the summer enjoy the rose gardens, lily ponds, billowing flower beds and wildflower meadows – The scale, grandeur and scenic beauty of Bodnant Garden is immense. We then return to Caernarfon to enjoy the remainder of the day is at leisure.
Wednesday | After a hearty breakfast our scenic journey takes us to Porthmadog to board the Ffestiniog Railway. The Ffestiniog Railway is the world’s oldest narrow gauge with almost 200 years of history, taking you on a 13½-mile journey from the harbour in Porthmadog to the slate-quarrying town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. These historic trains climb over 700 feet from sea level into the mountains through tranquil pastures and magnificent forests, past lakes and waterfalls, round tight bends (even a complete spiral) clinging to the side of the mountain or tunnelling through it. A real holiday highlight is in store this afternoon. Dreamy arrays of colourful blooms and intriguing architecture make the stunning Italiante village of Portmeirion a magical day out.
Thursday | Llandudno is the largest resort in Wales and boasts a unique location. Lying between the western Great Orme and eastern Little Orme are two beautiful beaches, the award-winning north shore and the sand dunned west shore. Perhaps take a ride on the Great Orme Tramway and enjoy the views from the Great Orme summit or take a stroll along the longest pier in Wales.
Friday | After breakfast we travel home with comfort stops en route. Your taxis will be waiting for you upon your return.
